^_^

The new trailers are much more fun the previous teasers. It showcases more of Prime and Megs. Poor poor Jazz gets SQUISHED!! X_X

Pontiac Solstice is no match vs Megatron.

If you dig up the International Trailer, theres footage there not in the yahoo trailer, you see a little bit more of Prime and Blackout.

They need to be changed to fit into a 90 minute timeframe. Don't watch them for what you want them to be, just watch them. If you can't accept the fact that they are going to be different, don't watch them.

If you watch G1 storyline of transformers now, youll realize how hollow and pointless each episode was, and really just served as a giant advertisement for the toys (just like G.I. Joe).

The movie is a deviation and reinvention of the Transformers universe, but being a universe thats been re-invented many times already with alternate ideas, i dont see it as any different from things like Energon or Armada or even Hearts of Steel (my fave)

Plus some concepts just dont translate properly to movie. You have a limited timeframe to introduce characters, develop them, escalate and reach a climax and resolve their issues.

Transformers has a LOT of characters.

Most things that are made into a movie (book->movie, Game->movie, show->Movie) aren't as good as the original. Or at least are very different.

For example the Trailer Park boys movie is just a paralelle dimension mvie, it does not follow the events or episodes from the show, to apeal to a wider audience.

Personaly I grew up watching the beast wars transformer's ( the one were there animals) and almost watch the whole series, never did watch the older, I did a bit of the newer, but overall beast wars is my favorite.

As for this movie, I'm gonna be seing it for sure, looks awsome, always di dI like thr transformer's series.

Yeah, Beast Wars was, by far, the coolest incarnation of Transformers. Should've made THAT into a movie.

Well Beast Wars/Beast Machines still exists in the original Transformers universe, its just set in the future....past. Thats why Optimus Primal runs into the original Optimus Prime.

Michael Bay's Transformers is not sequel or prequel, its a new universe altogether.

Why should movies be 90 minutes? It seems that's Hollywood's motto these days. Don't they have enough content to add another 30 or even 50 minutes?

I don't mind *minor* changes as I don't expect a movie that takes 100% of the source material. Although, I think they should still respect the source and not make big changes that could make fans angry; e.g. I didn't recognize Megatron as he looked more like a cluster of metal scraps than a gun/tank.

Anyway, I'll go see this nontheless but I don't expect much in the story/character development; it's a Michael Bay movie, afterall.

Yes, I remember that, its set about 10,000 year in the pass, you can even see some prehistoric man in the later episodes, and off course the giant "Truck" version of optimus prime, got kinda weird in those episode.

As for this movie, I have to say, although they don't quite look like the original transformer's, they still look pretty damn awsome.

I hope soul-less Hollywood doesn't ruin this cherished childhood memory. I loved those 20 minute commercials for toys when I was a kid! But knowing Hollywood, they'll do something to totally deviate from the classic story of bad guys shooting at good guys & missing all the time. And they'll probably do something to make the Transformers look more modern, like tribal designs or whatever.
